We
bought Clover for my Mum as a surprise 70th Birthday
present.
And as her constant companion during her last
years, Clover rarely left Mum's side.
But
without Mum she was lost for quite a while - not really sure
just what her job was supposed to be now that Mum was
gone.
Finally she decided that she would look after Stella - and they
became the best of buddies.
Clover
lived another 5 years after mum was gone. Making the move with
us to Tenterfield, and always greeting us each morning with that
tail that never stopped wagging.
But
then at a little more than 12 years of age, her eye sight failing
and her body getting weary, it was time. And so we said
our goodbyes to our little floppy-eared friend that we
affectionately called "Shortie".
She
was a good dog, she did a good job, and when the time came to
say goodbye she went peacefully.
We
will all miss her
