After loosing "Clover" we were very sad, and  Stella was just devastated.

None of us realised how much of a hole in our family she would leave.

And so we started hunting ..........

In December 2011 I received an email about a Cocker Spaniel that had been found by Best Friends Rescue (BFR) that had been wandering the streets lost.  She was in a council pound and had not been claimed. She was due to be euthanised. She was in a bad way, her coat had huge huge mating, and she was riddled with fleas. But underneath I could see that all she needed was a bit of TLC.  And thanks to BFR she has now been shaved, micro chipped, wormed, vaccinated, spayed, and is flea free.

Meg is now at home with us here at Heelersridge, where she can live out her days as a part of our family.

The photos on the left show the condition she was in when rescued and on the right hand side are some shots of her at Christmas 2011.

It took a while, but Meg has made friends with Stella.  I do believe she previously belonged to a man, as she follows Gary around like a shadow.

We are used to having a Cocker about the place - but the tail is new to us :)

. . . I wonder if Clover is looking down at her ?

 At home now

and settled into her

new life at Tenterfield
