The Beginning . . .
The Coomerith prefix was registered in 2001, twelve months after the acquisition of our foundation bitch - Kesmoy Red Girl. It was recommended to me that if I was looking for a dog to put to my bitch, that I should go and have a look at a 'good type' of red dog that had not long arrived in Queensland. The 'good type' of red dog turned out to be Bangeeri Aussiealchemist, who later went on to be titled as an Australian Grand Champion.
We jumped at the opportunity to use a dog of such quality. The inaugural mating between the two dogs resulted in Coomerith Blue Thunder & Coomerith Baronga Boy, which were retained by us These two males were used as our main stud dogs in the years to come.
A few years passed by before we went out and purchased two outcross bitches from reputable breeders down in NSW. Jabaluka Blue Skye and Turrella Scarlet O'Hara joined our team and their lines combined with Coomerith Blue Thunder & Coomerith Baronga Boy form the backbone of our breeding program today.
