What do I need to start ?

You need 3 things -

A website, a domain name & hosting.

What does it cost to design a one page site ?

A$130.00  for design & upload - includes Domain name registration  (.com)

If your internet provider does not allow you free web space, you will have to purchase hosting. Ridge Graphics can supply hosting at competitive prices.

Can I start with one page and add more later ?

Certainly, pages can be added when required. Cost to add one page is $55.00 per page.

What does hosting mean ?

Simply put, hosting means space you rent on someone's server (a large capacity computer) where your website is stored so that the public can access it.

How much is hosting with Ridge Graphics ?

Hosting starts at A$88.00 per year (that's less than A$7.50 per month), payable in advance.

There is a once off hosting set up fee of A$33.00

How do I know if I have free hosting with my internet provider ?

If you are not sure the best way is to phone their customer support line and ask.

Can I have a .com.au domain name ?

Yes, but a .com.au domain name is more expensive, and you have to have an ABN. 

I already have a domain name do I need to buy another one ?

No but we need to transfer your domain name to Ridge Graphics.

Can I have more photos on one page and less on another ?

Certainly !  If you buy a package that allows 6 photos per page and you end up with 5 pages, you can have 30 photos in total.  If you want all 30 on one page and no photos on the other pages - that's fine with me.  It's your choice.

Will I still have to pay my internet provider ?

Yes, your website and domain do  not replace your internet service.
